Salut tout le monde ! Vous savez quoi ? J'ai co-\u00e9crit un livre. Plut\u00f4t chouette, non ? Le livre est en fran\u00e7ais et il s'appelle : J'ai v\u00e9cu la m\u00eame chose que toi.<\/em> J'ai \u00e9crit ce livre avec 11 autres jeunes femmes, toutes \u00e2g\u00e9es de moins de 40 ans, des femmes que j'avais rencontr\u00e9es lors d'une retraite dans les Alpes fran\u00e7aises.\n\nNous nous sommes r\u00e9unies parce qu'une chose nous unissait toutes : le cancer du sein. Et nous voulions partager nos exp\u00e9riences avec d'autres femmes qui ont v\u00e9cu ou qui vivent la m\u00eame chose pour leur dire : \"H\u00e9 ! Tes sentiments sont l\u00e9gitimes parce que la m\u00eame chose m'est arriv\u00e9e !\". Mais pas seulement les autres femmes atteintes d'un cancer du sein, \u00e9galement leurs amis, leurs familles et leurs coll\u00e8gues. Le cancer n'affecte pas seulement la patiente, il affecte tous les membres de son entourage, qu'ils le sachent ou non. Il est difficile pour les femmes atteintes d'un cancer du sein d'\u00eatre comprises par des personnes qui n'ont pas travers\u00e9 la m\u00eame \u00e9preuve qu'elles. \n\nC'est pourquoi nous avons \u00e9crit ce livre. Pour dire \u00e0 tout le monde, avec ou sans cancer, les choses dont personne n'ose parler. Les peurs, l'anxi\u00e9t\u00e9 et la honte que nous enfermons en nous-m\u00eames parce que nous pensons \u00eatre les seuls \u00e0 en souffrir. Eh bien, tu sais quoi ? Tu n'es pas seule. Nous aussi, nous l'avons v\u00e9cu.\n\nLe livre est divis\u00e9 en 12 chapitres dans lesquels chacune d'entre nous raconte certaines des le\u00e7ons de vie qu'elle a tir\u00e9es du cancer du sein. Hey everyone! Guess what? I co-authored a book. Pretty snazzy, right? The book is in French and it’s called: J’ai V\u00e9cu la M\u00eame Chose que Toi (I Too Have Lived it). I wrote the book with 11 other young women, all under the age of 40, women that I had met at a retreat in the French Alps. We came together because one thing united us all: breast cancer. And we wanted to share our experiences with other women who have gone or are going through the same thing to tell them, “Hey! Your feelings are legitimate because the same thing happened to me!” But not just other women with breast cancer, also their friends, families and colleagues. Cancer does not just affect the patient, it affects everyone in their world, whether they know it or not. It’s hard for women with breast cancer to be understood by people who haven’t gone through the same ordeal as them. That’s why we wrote this book. To tell everyone, with or without cancer, the things nobody dares to talk about. The fears, and the anxiety, and the shameful feelings we shut up inside of ourselves because we think we are the only ones that suffer from them. Well, guess what? You’re not alone. We too have lived it. The book is divided into 12 chapters in which each of us recounts some of the life lessons we learned from breast cancer. Something good can come of a ‘terrible’ situation and our book is proof that transformation is possible. For now the book is in French. Maybe someday it will be translated into English.
